What does the app do?
Pocket Sous Chef turns your pantry and dietary preferences into step-by-step recipes.
- Pantry → Recipes: Type or scan ingredients to get clear instructions.
- Smart Substitutions: Swap ingredients based on what you have.
- Serving Scale: Resize portions with a tap.
- Favorites & Planner: Save go-to meals and plan the week.
Why do you ask for camera access?
Only to scan ingredients when you choose that option. You can always enter items manually.
Do you collect personal data?
No accounts and no ads/tracking. Your prompts (the ingredients and preferences you submit) are sent securely to our recipe service to generate results. We don’t link that data to your identity. Saved recipes and favorites stay on your device.
The AI suggested something odd—what should I do?
AI-generated recipes can vary. Please verify allergens and cook to a safe internal temperature. Use substitutions and scaling to tune the result.
